When You Say MLS what exactly are you referring to? RealComp, which is what most realtors use? a local MLS? Some other multiple listing service?
My house is listed here and I bought into the MLS listing service for $377.
The info on the Owners site is vague. It just says your local MLS?? What does this mean?
I'm In Michigan and have spent my money for this but it not going to do me any good unless the MLS they're referring to is Realcomp.

In order to save your hard earned money, you can list your property here without MLS option.
Surf the web and place your property directly from other MTL Flat free service.
In you live in PA, for example, list your property in MLS with Housepad.com. dorectly. You save $90.00
When you buy MLS option thru owners.com , it costs you $377.00. A direct listing with Housepad.com costs only $287.00 .
I made a mistake and I don't want people follow it.

David,
MLS refers to the local multiple listing service for a particular area or community. While you are familiar with RealComp, each local MLS has its own name.
It is generally a local real estate association or group of realtors who agree to group and post their individual listings together so they can share listings and increase the odds of finding a suitable home for their buyers.
They say all real estate is local and in fact, according to the latest Census, the vast majority of people move within the same county. So, that's why the term, "local" MLS is used.
You will be using the MLS organization that is best for your area and it could be RealComp. I would check with the agent who will be posting your home on the MLS.
Owners.com negotiated a discounted fee with a nationwide realty company who stands by its service to its MLS clients.

| I recommend highly recommend Housepad.com. They are quick at getting the listing posted and any changes you want made after you post it. and they are one of the cheapest out there. Normally $259. and when I signed up they had a special offer going for $179. They don't only list on the local MLS they also post your listing out on Realtor.com

I'm confused! I thought that owner.com's deal of the $377 MLS listing also came up on www.realtor.com ?
What exactly are we getting for that fee we pay?

HI Karen,
You also get a listing on www.Realtor.com when you choose our MLS program.
In addition, your listing may receive exposure on sites like MSN®, Yahoo!® Real Estate and other Realtor® websites which offer MLS searches to the public.
