I don't have the first offer yet...but if I come to agreement with a buyer and while waiting for his financing to come through(this could be 10-15 days) how do I accept backup offers? I will be seeing a real estate attorney to write up and sign the purchase/sale agreement for the 1st offer.
Does the 2nd party that wants your house just wait in the wings? How do you keep them on the hook?
Any advice would be helpful.

Hi Terry,

The best thing to do is to tell the #2 buyer that you already have an offer but if they'd like to submit a back-up offer they are more than welcome.

If the first offer falls through, you'll contact them and accept their offer.

Good luck!
