I've read most of the posts in ALL the forums and haven't found the answer to this question. We pay property taxes twice a year. The way I understand it is we are always paying 6 months in the rears. So if we sold our house in June would we still owe for the six months that we lived here (Jan thru June)? We pay around $1700 a half.
Any help on this would be appreciated. I'm trying to understand all the costs involved in the closing process.

| The area i live in the taxes are prorated, any unused portion will be paid back to the seller.
