We have a couple very interested in our house. We had an open house today and they came up to see it. They really like it, but are scheduled to view two homes with a realtor tomorrow. If the potential buyers have not signed any agent contract with her, and they visited our house on their own, do we have to pay that realtor a commission.
This realtor will have never even been to our home and will have no part in drawing up a contract or the closing process. I was told that we might have to pay their realtor because it is "implied" that they would purchase with her since they viewed homes with her. How does this work?

If the Realtor didn't find your house for them, you are not obligated to pay the Realtor. However, if the Realtor writes the offer, you will be obligated to pay the Realtor.
