Where can I get or download an "receipt of earnest money acknowledged” form or any form that I can have handy in my house to give to a buyer who is interested in the house and who wants to make a depost (aka earnest money)? Also, if the buyer is interested in my house, do I have to provide a written offer contract or is that the buyer's responsibility?

Hello-

Please click on the link below to download all forms needed for selling or buying real estates.

As for you second question, typically the seller is responsible for providing the offer contract.

Please let me know if you have any other question.

Each state has different requirements for SELLER DISCLOSURE, LEAD-BASED PAINT and ESCROW forms, so I was a bit nervous to buy the "kits" that are advertised all over the internet.

Guess what? I found that by requesting these forms in writing to the state Real Estate Commission, I got them free!
