Question for those with experience in real estate:
What if I want to work WITH a realtor to increase advertising exposure for the house--what sites can I use to list the house but provide my realtor's contact info--not mine. I don't want open houses, I just want to funnel all interested parties thru my realtor so that he can pre-qualify them to make a private appointment to see the house, after they are qualified. My realtor is fine, but is local and relies primarily on the locally advertised open house method of selling homes, and it's been taking up to a year in my neigborhood, so I'd like to speed the process by advertising on the web in conjuction with my realtor--any good sites for that? Can I do that here?
Thanks in advance.

Your realtor should have your home posted on extensive on-line sites. You can occassionally post in your local papers as a featured listing, big beautiful photo when your realtor isn't advertizing. Would make sure you get updated listings of your comps(days on market, price, amenities, under contract, sale price)take a hard look at these facts especially if your home has been on the market one year. As for websites, the following 4 are free:
1)
zillow.com is a free site, you can attach your realtors link, upload your photos, home details, have only your realtor's phone/emails for client contact. you can see the # of visitors to your webpage as well but this also reflects your own hits (unlike owners.com).
2)
in addition, craigslist.com, allows you to post for sale by owner and realtor, up to 4 photos, home details + your mls# & allows you to link to other(ie. your realtor's) webpage. you can not see the # of hits on this site but everytime i use it, my other siteslinked have increased activity. i suggest to atleast weekly delete your posting and then re-post to generate more views.
3)
also think Trulia.com will allow you, the owner, to create an account and link with your realtor posted MLS (they do not accept non MLS uploads, ie. FSBOs, I've tried)
4)
i do not think owners.com restricts users from posting their realtor listed home on here but they would need to confirm this, call the contact# for a quick answer. up to 1 photo+ample space for home details is free. plus, owners.com will populated numerous other websites free of charge (google real estate etc.). also for a small 1x fee ($11.97 for 10 additional photos and no drop off date) I just upgraded my account.
i have also seen homes on forsalebyowner.com have link to realtors webpages, this site, however, costs money. homeowners probably tried the site, paid, got no where and eventually listed with a realtor.
make sure your realtor has your home on the MLS + Realtor.com. good luck!
