My phone rings..."Hello?"...."How much you want for you house?"..."It is listed for $159,000"..."Oh-thank you"
We had it listed with an agent for $169,000. Listing expired and we dropped it to $159,000 and decided to try FSBO. Most of the calls I get are people thinking I want to give it away or owner finance. Is there a way to screen out people who clearly can't afford it? I was tempted to put the price on the sign to weed out dreamers who could never afford to buy my house. Maybe the info tube with the price on it would help.

Yes, including the price on a flyer would certainly stop the "how much?" calls. However, I noticed that a lot of Real Estate agents purposely DON'T list the price because they want people to call them. I guess they tell the buyer, "Oh! Well, if that house isn't in your price range, let me show you something that is!"

Anyway, if you DO list the price, show the original price you had with the agent, then slash through it and write "REDUCED!" and then the new price.
