We cooperated fully with the buyer's real estate agent. In Longmont this means we paid 2.8% commission to her. t is worth it. Most people buying a house only feel comfortable working with an agent. If you do not cooperate with agents I feel you are throwing away the majority of your buyers.

Also, the buyer's agent has been very professional. She did all of the paperwork and has answered all of our questions through this process. By listing it ourselves we saved over $10,000 on commissions, but gave $5000 of that to the buyer in a price reduction. We were motivated sellers. By listing it ourselves at a really good price we were able to sell the house very quickly. This alleviated us of the stress of keeping our house in "show home" condition and allowed us to move on with other aspects of our move. It is the only way to go, according to me!

They should know that they can NEGOTIATE a BUYER'S REALTOR'S commission!

You can always tell a realtor (you will have many of them contact you) that their commission can be added on to the price of the house, instead of paying their 3% commission out of the proceeds of the sale of your house.

Fine. She called first, asked if we would be willing to pay her a fee if she brought us a buyer. We told her that we would be willing to pay her 2%, but then the price was non-negotiable. She was good to work with, very nice, I would recommend her if somebody were looking for an agent.

We negotiated her fee (2%) and appreciated her expertise. If we had waited two or three months we could have gotten maybe more than we did, but we had a goal of what we wanted after the sale and we came real close to our realistic goal.

The buyer had an agent, so I had to pay 2% commission.

We ended up listing our home with a MLS listing Company and our buyer came through with a realtor. We paid 2.5% to the buyer's agent.

I'm telling any agents that call that I'll give them 3% on any FULL PRICE contract they bring me. That way they're working for me!
